How a San Antonio sewer usually fails
A house sewer is the pipe from the last fixture to the city tap or septic tank. In this region it may be PVC, ABS, cast iron, or leftover clay. Clay and iron grow root intrusions. PVC can still belly where fill settled after a slab was poured. Heavy rain on expansive clay pushes joints and lets soil in.
The tell is simultaneous failure: toilet and tub, or a shower that gurgles when the washer drains. A single slow sink is drain cleaning. Sewage at a floor drain is the main.
